Zrinjski Mostar — Orlovik: 88:76, Bosnian Championship

Zrinjski Mostar saw off Orlovik 88-76 in the Bosnia Championship on Friday evening. The hosts took control early and held their nerve through the closing stages to claim their first win of the campaign.

To be fair, this wasn't the most dominant display from the home side. They turned it around after falling behind in the opening quarter and went for the jugular when it mattered. There is no value left at that number — Orlovik had chances to close the gap but couldn't find the right rhythm.

By then, the visitors were already carrying momentum. They sat third in the table before kick-off with two wins from two, having beaten Radnicki Gorazde 99-84 and Sloboda 84-81 earlier this month. But the table goes out of the window in these games, and Zrinjski proved that point.

The home side's recent form suggested vulnerability — losses to Borac Banja-Luka and Slavia had left them reeling. Yet they played with more conviction than in those defeats, and the stadium fell silent when Orlovik pushed back in the third quarter.

Both teams remain on zero points in the standings, which says nothing yet about positioning. What matters now is the psychological shift — Orlovik's unbeaten run ended, and Zrinjski have the deeper squad to make life awkward for the league leaders in future meetings.
