Leotar Trebinje

The fifth game of the 2018–19 playoff finals came down to two points: Leotar beat KK Borac Banja Luka 73–71 to take the First League of Republika Srpska title on 4 May 2019, in 2002–03. The win sent Leotar up into the Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship for the following season.

The club traces back to 1948, when it was founded as DTV Partizan; it took the name Leotar in 1974, after the mountain that rises north of the town, and later carried a string of sponsors' names — SL IAT Leotar, SL Takovo Leotar, Swisslion Leotar — before settling back to the name it carries now. It plays in blue and white.

Trebinje has sent players out well beyond Herzegovina. Božo Đurasović, a small forward born in 1987, built a career running through Germany, Ukraine, Switzerland, Romania, Serbia and France, while his older brother Nikola, once on the same books, has stayed home since retiring and now coaches the club's youth teams.

Dragoljub Vidačić took charge of the team for two seasons from 2014, arriving with his own playing history at Crvena Zvezda and Partizan.

Leotar has also picked up the Cup of Republika Srpska more than once, including a 2019–20 run that followed the promotion year. The club plays its games at Sportska dvorana Miloš Mrdić, in Trebinje's Bregovi neighbourhood, and continues in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship, the level it climbed into off the back of that game against Borac.
