Alan Max Benítez Domínguez

Alan Benítez has spent his career shuttling between Paraguay's biggest clubs and back again. He came through the ranks at Rubio Ñu before Libertad picked him up in 2013, and it was there that he built the foundation of his career, winning three league titles with the club — the Apertura and Clausura of 2014, and the Apertura of 2017 — across two separate spells in Asunción.

Two loan spells shaped his early years away from Libertad: a return to Rubio Ñu and, in 2016, a move to Benfica B in Portugal, where he made his debut in the Segunda Liga that February. He came back to South America afterwards, and from 2020 he moved through a run of Paraguay's leading sides — Olimpia, then Cerro Porteño — before a switch to Major League Soccer in 2022, when Minnesota United signed him. He made his debut for the club that July.

He returned to Cerro Porteño in 2023 for a second stint, then left Paraguay again in the middle of last year, signing with Brazil's Internacional through 2026. That deal did not run its course: in February this year he went back to Libertad as a right-back.

At international level, Benítez has represented Paraguay six times since making his debut in a friendly against Mexico in 2017, though he has yet to score for the national team.
