About the player
Aymen Boutoutaou joined Valenciennes' academy, where he trained from 2014. He broke into the first team in 2019 and stayed for six years. Across 115 league appearances for the club he scored 15 goals, adding two more in the French Cup.
When his contract at Valenciennes expired in the summer of 2025, he moved to Sochaux as a free agent. The switch paid off immediately: in the 2025–2026 season he scored nine goals and set up four more in 32 National appearances, adding a further goal in the French Cup.
That form led FCSB to pursue him in July 2026. According to Mihai Stoica, the move was among the most difficult the club has negotiated, with owner Gigi Becali pushing the deal forward after FCSB's initial offer of €800,000 was raised to a final fee of €1.35 million. Boutoutaou signed a contract running to 2029.
He has represented Algeria at Under-23 level, scoring once in a single appearance for that side in May 2022.
Since arriving in Romania, Boutoutaou has made four league appearances for FCSB and featured twice in the UEFA Conference League, scoring once in European competition. He has yet to win a team trophy or individual award in his career.
