About the player
His club career only settled after several moves. Spells at Gil Vicente in Portugal and FK Mariupol in Ukraine were followed by a season at Valmiera in Latvia, then a switch to FC Botoșani in Romania, where regular football helped make his case for a bigger move. That move came in the summer of 2022, when he joined FCSB .
At FCSB, Dawa has been part of a run of sustained success: back-to-back Liga I titles in 2023–24 and 2024–25, and Romanian Super Cup wins in 2024 and 2025. He was a regular starter through the 2024–25 season as well, appearing in both the league and the Europa League, before a cruciate ligament injury sidelined him in March 2025 and forced him to miss out on a Cameroon call-up against Libya.
By that point he had earned ten caps for Cameroon without scoring.
