Alexandru Stoyan

Alexandru Stoian was born in Madrid and moved to Romania with his family at the age of three. He took up football at six, joining Benfica's Bucharest academy before spells at ProSport Bucharest and Academia Clinceni shaped his early development.

His break came at Farul Constanța, where he made his first-team debut at just 14, on 28 October 2022. He went on to make ten league appearances for Farul and won the Romanian championship with the club in the 2022/23 season.

In January 2025, FCSB signed Stoian for a fee reported at €500,000, part of a combined deal with Ionuț Cercel worth around €1 million. The move away from Farul drew press attention for its early timing and for the player's public farewell to the club. Once at FCSB, an administrative registration issue kept him off the pitch for several weeks, though the delay was procedural rather than related to his fitness.

Stoian has since added a second Romanian title, this time with FCSB in the 2025/26 season. In August 2026, FCSB struck a partnership agreement with second-division side Concordia Chiajna, allowing him to gain playing time there whenever he is not in FCSB's starting eleven.

At international level, Stoian has moved steadily through Romania's youth ranks, from the under-15s through to the under-19 side. He has not yet been called up to the senior national team.
