About the player
Jesús Alejandro Gómez Molina joined Atlas as a teenager in 2015 and made his Liga MX debut on 29 March 2019. The team reached the final of the 2019 World Cup. At club level, Atlas won the Apertura 2021 and Clausura 2022.
Back at Atlas, he settled into a regular role as the side won its back-to-back titles. His path then took a turn in 2023, when he moved to Santos Laguna, where he featured mainly for the club's Sub-23 side rather than the first team.
In January 2024, Gómez signed for Club Tijuana. The terms of his arrival were described differently across reports at the time, with some framing it as a loan and others as a permanent deal, though Tijuana went on to secure his rights outright, extending his contract with the club through to 2028. He now plays for Xolos wearing the number 6 shirt.
His performances in Tijuana earned him recognition beyond the club, with call-ups to Mexico's senior national team, for which he has made two appearances, including a friendly against Ghana.
