About the player
Pablo Nicolás Ortiz Orozco built his early career inside Querétaro FC, working through the club's youth categories before breaking into the first team. Once there, he became a fixture of the side's back line across two full campaigns, playing 14 league matches in 2023/2024 and 19 the following season.
In July 2025 Ortiz Orozco left Querétaro as a free agent and signed for Club Tijuana. The move gave him a fresh platform in Liga MX, and he wasted little time settling in, appearing in 16 matches during his first season at the club. He has continued in Tijuana's squad into the 2026/2027 campaign, where he has featured five times so far.
A left-footed defender, Ortiz Orozco has built his profile on the left side of the back line, a role in which his preferred foot allows him to bring the ball out under pressure rather than simply clear it. His path has been a steady, unspectacular progression: solid minutes at Querétaro, a switch to a new club without a transfer fee involved, and an immediate role in Tijuana's defence.
