Adonis Stalin Preciado Quintero

Adonis Preciado's career carries one clear high point: a title with Barcelona SC. The Guayaquil-born midfielder joined the club in 2020 and stayed through 2024. Barcelona SC remains the name most closely tied to his career, even accounting for the fact that sources give sharply different totals for his appearances and goals there — a discrepancy that says more about the state of record-keeping than about the player.

Before that, Preciado worked his way up through a string of Ecuadorian clubs rather than a single academy pipeline. He started out with Guayaquil Sport, moved to Guayaquil FC and El Guayacán, then had a first taste of senior football with Emelec. A loan spell at Rocafuerte in 2017 produced his best return of that period, six goals in nineteen matches. Stints at Puerto Quito and Chacaritas followed, along with a loan to Mushuc Runa where he added four goals in twenty-one appearances.

On the international side, Preciado has not played for Ecuador's senior team. He was called up to the under-23 side ahead of the 2020 South American pre-Olympic tournament in Colombia, though he did not feature in any matches for that squad.

After his contract at Barcelona SC ran out, Preciado left Ecuadorian football altogether, signing for Querétaro in Mexico in 2025, where he scored four goals in fifteen appearances. He moved on again within the same year, joining Club Tijuana.
