About the player
On 19 October 2025, in a Serbian SuperLiga match against Red Star Belgrade, a 16-year-old making his professional debut for IMT Novi Beograd scored. The goal made Aleksa Mitić the youngest scorer in the history of the Serbian SuperLiga, at 16 years and 19 days, taking the record from Dušan Vlahović.
Mitić came through the IMT Novi Beograd academy, and the club moved him on loan soon after that debut. In February 2026 he joined FK Ušće Novi Beograd of the Serbian First League, the second tier, for the rest of the 2025/2026 season. The spell ran until the end of June and brought seven appearances and one goal. He returned to IMT for the 2026/2027 campaign.
He has also played for the Serbia under-17 side, scoring once in three appearances in UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying.
