Álvaro Marcial Campuzano

Álvaro Campuzano made his name at Rubio Ñú, where he came through to the first team and stayed for four seasons, appearing 58 times in the Paraguayan Primera División and scoring once between 2015 and 2017. A brief spell in the second-tier División Intermedia followed before he moved on in 2019.

That July he joined General Díaz, and it was there that his end product picked up. He played 21 matches in his first season with the club, scoring once, then followed it with 20 appearances and two goals the year after.

The form was enough to earn him a move to the capital. On 10 October 2020, Campuzano signed for Libertad in Asunción.

Born in Eusebio Ayala, in the department of Cordillera, Campuzano has built his career step by step through Paraguay's domestic league rather than through a single defining transfer or moment of headline-grabbing form. There is no record of him having been called up to the Paraguay national team.
