Bruno Antúnez D'Espaux

Bruno Antúnez D'Espaux made his professional debut in February 2022 and has since established himself in Boston River's first team as goalkeeper. In an interview with Uruguayan media in February 2025, he traced his footballing roots back to Tanque Sisley, where he came through the youth ranks until the age of 18.

His workload at Boston River has grown steadily. After making three appearances across the league and the Uruguayan Cup in 2024, he featured nine times in 2025, including four matches in the CONMEBOL Libertadores. By March 2025, he had accumulated twelve appearances for the club, conceding eleven goals along the way.

Antúnez has not yet been called up to any Uruguay national team set-up, and no individual or team honours appear on his record so far. His story so far is one of a young goalkeeper building minutes and trust at club level, with his growing role in continental competition marking the clearest sign of progress.
