Christopher Robin Olivares Burga

Olivares was born in Thessaloniki because his father, Percy Olivares, was on the books at PAOK at the time. The family is Peruvian, and the son took Peruvian and Greek citizenship — but it was Peru he chose to represent.

His first medal came before his first professional contract. At the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, Peru's under-17s beat South Korea 2–1 in the final and Olivares went home with gold. A senior call-up arrived in June 2023, as an emergency replacement, but he was not used.

The club years split cleanly in two. At Sporting Cristal, where he came through the youth system and was promoted to the first team in August 2017, he collected the Peruvian Primera División in 2018 and 2020, plus the Copa Bicentenario and the Torneo Apertura in 2021. A loan to Vitória Guimarães B in Portugal in August 2019 brought nine appearances across the season. He left Cristal at the end of 2022 as a free agent, and since then has not stayed anywhere long: Deportivo Municipal for half a season, Cusco FC for the Torneo Clausura, then Universitario de Deportes from November 2023.

Universitario won the Liga 1 title in 2024 with Olivares in the squad. He left that December for Atlético Grau, and by the time he departed Universitario his professional record read 144 matches, 27 goals and 13 assists in 5,706 minutes. He joined Deportivo Garcilaso on a free transfer for the 2026 season.
