About the player
The heaviest workload of Patrick Zubczuk's career has come away from Lima. He signed for Universidad Técnica de Cajamarca as a free agent in 2023 and stayed two seasons, making 68 appearances and keeping five clean sheets in 2024.
He came through the academy at Universitario de Deportes and made his senior debut in 2016, the year the club took the Apertura title with Zubczuk in the squad. Two years earlier he had won the Torneo de Reservas with them. He remained on the books at Universitario until 2021, with a season away in 2020 on loan at Universidad César Vallejo, where he played 25 times. A move to Cienciano in 2022 brought five matches and little else, and he left again after a single season.
Every step of that career has been made without a fee: loans and free transfers throughout, including his arrival at Deportivo Garcilaso on 30 November 2024. By the middle of 2025 he had made around twenty appearances for the club.
Zubczuk represented Peru at under-18 and under-20 level, and was in the under-20 side for a friendly against Costa Rica in June 2014. He has not been capped by the senior national team.
