About the player
A free transfer took Danilo Arboleda from the Colombian league to Moldova in February 2021, and within months he was playing in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League with Sheriff Tiraspol. He won the 2020–21 Moldovan Super Liga in the same season.
Arboleda came through at Deportivo Cali, debuting in February 2015 and taking the 2015 Apertura title in his first year. A loan to Patriotas Boyacá in 2017 gave him 35 matches. Spells at América de Cali, La Equidad and Deportivo Pasto followed.
The move to Al Ain in January 2022, again on a free, brought him the 2021–22 UAE Pro League title and the UAE League Cup. After that he moved to Al Ahli Doha from July 2023, then five months at Wuhan Three Towns in China, then Kazma in Kuwait from July 2024 until the following January.
He arrived at Banfield in July 2025, once more without a fee, and made 22 appearances. In July 2026 San Lorenzo executed a release clause to acquire 70% of his rights for USD 350,000, signing him until December 2028.
At 190 cm and right-footed, he has made more than 190 senior appearances and scored 11 league goals.
