Alexis Ricardo Cuello

Fifteen years at Racing Club brought Alexis Cuello a reserve-team title and training sessions with Eduardo Coudet's first team, but never an official senior appearance for the club. He was in and around the setup at the highest level — he travelled with the Argentina national team as a sparring partner ahead of the 2018 World Cup — without ever crossing into it.

The senior career instead began away from Avellaneda. A loan to Barracas Central from July 2019 produced five appearances. A second loan, to Instituto de Córdoba, ran from September 2020 to December 2021 and gave him more of a run: two goals in 24 games. He went back to Racing for the 2022 season and again could not hold down a place.

The move that changed things was a free transfer to Club Almagro in December 2022. Over 13 months he made 35 appearances and scored eight goals — enough for San Lorenzo to take him on loan in January 2024.

At San Lorenzo he finished 2024 as the club's top scorer, with eight goals in 36 appearances. In November that year the club exercised its purchase option, buying 60% of his economic rights from Almagro for around $1.05 million, a deal conditional on clearing a $50,000 debt to the selling club. Almagro kept the remaining 40% and has since sought $2 million for it.

Cuello is registered with San Lorenzo for the 2026 season. He has no major team titles or individual awards to his name.
