Nicolás Martín Tripichio

Two continental youth titles came before Nicolás Martín Tripichio had settled anywhere as a professional. He won the CONMEBOL Sudamericano Sub-17 with Argentina in 2013 and the Sudamericano Sub-20 in 2015. He has never been capped by the senior national side.

Vélez had him from the beginning: he joined the club's youth academy in 2003 and stayed for fifteen years. That ended in 2018, when he left as a free agent and signed for Defensa y Justicia .

He was registered for the 2020 Copa Sudamericana and played in the earlier rounds, but in October 2020 he was loaned to the Paraguayan side Guaraní . The loan ran until January 2021 — which is when Defensa y Justicia beat Lanús in the final. Tripichio was in Paraguay. He returned shortly afterwards, and was not in the squad for the 2021 Recopa Sudamericana that the club won against Palmeiras.

The move to San Lorenzo de Almagro came in July 2024, a transfer from Defensa y Justicia with a reported fee of $600,000 for 80% of his economic rights.

He was born in Lomas de Zamora, in Buenos Aires province.
