Dennis Politic

Manchester United signed Dennis Politic out of Romanian youth football when he was just twelve, plucking him from FC Brașov's academy and putting him through the club's development ranks for three years. It was Bolton Wanderers, though, who gave him his senior education, signing him in 2015 before he made his first-team debut for Bolton the following August.

Politic returned to Romania in the summer of 2023, joining Dinamo București as a free agent. The move was not welcomed by Dinamo's supporters: fans threw fake banknotes bearing his image and that of FCSB owner Gigi Becali onto the pitch as a mark of protest.

Politic joined FCSB in 2025, and it was there that he produced the moment his career is likely to be remembered for. In the final of the Romanian Super Cup against CFR Cluj, he scored in a 2-1 win and was named man of the match. He has also been named to the Liga I Team of the Week on several occasions.

In January 2026, Becali sent him out on loan to AFC Hermannstadt for the rest of the season, a decision the FCSB owner explained as a tactical move aimed at weakening the league leaders. Politic returned to FCSB that summer on a contract running to June 2029.

At international level, he came through Romania's under-17 side before later being included in senior national team squads during World Cup 2026 qualifying.
