Dominik Reimann

Reimann came through Borussia Dortmund's academy, where he progressed from the U17s to the reserves after joining as a boy in 2004, and won the U19 Bundesliga title with the club in the 2015/16 season. He made his senior debut for Borussia Dortmund II in the Regionalliga West and stayed with the second team until 2018, when he moved on a free transfer to Holstein Kiel. At international youth level, Reimann was first called up by Poland's U18 side in October 2014 but did not play, and subsequently opted to represent Germany instead. He went on to earn caps for Germany's U18, U19 and U20 teams, including two appearances at the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and one at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. After three years at Kiel, Reimann joined 1. FC Magdeburg on a free transfer in 2021, a move that proved decisive: he helped the club win the 3. Liga title in the 2021/22 season and secure promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. His contract at Magdeburg was later extended through to 2029. His form in the second tier has drawn individual recognition, too. Reimann was named Magdeburg's Player of the Month for September 2024, and readers of liga3-online.de voted him Player of Matchday 17 in the 2. Bundesliga.
