About the player
Falko Michel's route to the Bundesliga.de Tabelle took him through three academies before he found regular football. He came up through Sportfreunde Eintracht Freiburg before joining SC Freiburg's youth system, where he won the DFB-Pokal der Junioren with the club's under-19 side in 2018. He moved on a free transfer to VfB Stuttgart II, where he made 59 appearances and scored four goals over two seasons.
A second reserve-team spell followed at Borussia Dortmund II, where he made his professional debut against SV Wehen Wiesbaden in July 2022. Across two seasons there he played 63 times and scored seven goals.
Michel joined 1. FC Magdeburg on a free transfer in the summer of 2024. He has gone on to make 58 league appearances for Magdeburg's senior team, scoring twice, with a further outing for the club's second string.
