About the player
Ennio van der Gouw was born in Stockport, in England, but plays under a Dutch passport — a goalkeeper who arrived at FC Twente in 2014 and stayed until 2022 without making a single appearance for the first team.
The move to VVV-Venlo in 2022 gave him playing time. He played 32 matches in the Eerste Divisie in the 2022/23 season, then moved again — this time across the border to Belgium.
At SV Zulte Waregem he made 31 appearances in the Challenger Pro League between 2023 and 2026. He has no individual awards.
In February 2026 he arrived at Rio Ave FC on loan, with a permanent transfer agreed from 1 July 2026. The fee was not disclosed. His contract with the Portuguese club runs to 30 June 2029.
