Tamás Nikitscher

Hungary's Nations League tie with Germany on 7 September 2024 was eight minutes from the end when Tamás Nikitscher came on for his first cap. He has nine appearances for the national side to date, without a goal.

The route there ran through the Hungarian lower reaches. He passed through the academies of Teskánd KSE and Szombathelyi Haladás before joining Zalaegerszeg, and moved to Debrecen in 2017, turning professional there in the 2018/19 season. Most of the next three years were spent with Debrecen II, with a loan spell at DEAC in 2020/21 and a season at Makó in 2021/22.

In January 2023 he signed for Kecskemét from Pécsi MFK. That season the club finished second in the Hungarian top flight on 57 points from 33 rounds, behind Ferencváros on 63 and ahead of Debrecen on 54. Nikitscher played 14 league matches in the campaign and did not score.

His move abroad came in January 2025, to Valladolid. He made 13 appearances in La Liga as the club were relegated, and one further outing in the Segunda División at the start of 2025/26. That was his last for them: on 1 September 2025 Rio Ave announced his transfer to Portugal for €500,000, on a contract running to 30 June 2029.
