Facundo Bruera

Facundo Bruera came through the Estudiantes academy in La Plata but never made his first-team debut for the club, moving instead through loan spells and lower-profile sides. At Brown de Adrogué he became a key player, scoring 16 goals in 39 matches over two seasons.

There he scored 19 goals in 42 appearances.

It was at Olimpia that Bruera produced the decisive goal against Flamengo in the second leg of the last 16 of the 2023 Copa Libertadores, in a match Olimpia won 3-2. He went on to make 43 appearances for the Paraguayan club, scoring 12 goals.

Bruera made just three appearances for the club — in the Copa Argentina against Vélez, in the league against Atlético Tucumán, and in the Copa Libertadores against Atlético Mineiro — without scoring, before being sent out on loan to Barracas Central.

In 2025 he scored twice against Aldosivi in a 3-1 win, in a performance that was named man of the match.

He was called up to the under-20 side in 2016 but did not make the final squad for the COTIF tournament.
