About the player
The season that changed Gabriel Gheorghe's career was spent away from the club that raised him. Loaned to FC Argeș Pitești in Liga II on 30 August 2024, he made 18 league appearances and scored once as the side won promotion to Liga I. It remains his only major title: the Liga II Championship of 2024–25. He added two appearances in the Romanian Cup during the spell, which ended on 30 June 2025.
Before that, the picture at Rapid București was thinner. He joined the club's academy in 2022 from FC Juniorul București and was promoted to the senior squad the same year, making his debut in the 2022–23 season in the Cupa României.
