Gustavo Agustín Viera Velázquez

Gustavo Viera made his name at Corinthians without playing a single top-flight minute for the club. He joined the Brazilian side from Rubio Ñu in August 2014 and, two years later, collected a Campeonato Brasileiro Série A winner's medal from the 2015 title-winning squad despite making no first-team appearances that season. The same year, he was named best player of the final of Brazil's under-20 championship.

His path after Corinthians ran through a loan spell back at Rubio Ñu in 2016 and 2017, followed by a year at Independiente FBC in 2018. San Lorenzo signed him for the 2019 and 2020 campaigns, and a brief stint at Sportivo Luqueño followed in 2021 before he moved abroad again, spending three years with Peru's Carlos A. Mannucci between 2022 and 2024.

Internationally, Viera represented Paraguay at under-20 level between 2013 and 2015, scoring twice in 13 appearances, and later played four matches for the country's Olympic side in 2016. He has not been called up to the senior national team.

Viera joined Sportivo Trinidense at the start of 2025, returning to Paraguayan football after his time in Peru.
