Harlen Castillo

Harlen Castillo was named the match's outstanding player in the 2025 Superliga final after stopping two spot kicks.

Castillo, from Istmina in Colombia's Chocó department, spent his early professional years at Deportivo Pereira. That spell brought him a promotion from the second division in 2019 and, in 2022, the Torneo Finalización title.

The move to Atlético Nacional in early 2023 put him at a club with far greater expectations, and he settled quickly into the starting role. The trophies followed in bunches: two Superliga crowns, in 2023 and 2025, and three consecutive Colombian Cups, from 2023 through 2025. The pattern held across those campaigns — Nacional went deep in the domestic cup competition year after year with Castillo behind the defence.

Earlier in 2026, he left Colombian football altogether, signing with Gimnasia y Esgrima in La Plata, Argentina, as a free agent on a deal running through December 2027 — a switch that took him from the club game he had known for over a decade into a new league and country.

He has never been called up to Colombia's national team.
