The Ekstraklasa waited until November 2023 to see Jan Krzywański in a league match. Widzew Łódź had signed him that summer, on a free transfer from Legionovia Legionowo, and the debut came against Ruch Chorzów.
That place was Legionovia. Krzywański came through every age group at the club and made his senior debut there in the 2019/20 season, before spending three seasons on the senior side from July 2020 to June 2023. The move to Łódź, agreed for 1 July 2023, brought a two-year contract with an option for two more.
