About the player
When Jorelyn Carabalí signed for Brighton & Hove Albion in September 2023, she became the first Colombian footballer to play in England's Women's Super League. She arrived there from Atlético Mineiro .
The route to that point ran entirely through Colombia. Carabalí, born in Jamundí, turned professional with Orsomarso in 2017, spent 2018 and 2019 at Atlético Huila , and then settled at Deportivo Cali for four seasons from 2020. She joined Atlético Mineiro in January 2023, and by September she was in the WSL.
The Brighton years ran to 2025. She stayed with the club through that period as a right-footed defender.
On 7 January 2026 she signed for Boston Legacy FC , taking the number 16 shirt.
She represents Colombia at international level.
