About the player
Jorge Marcelino came through the Cerro Porteño academy and made his first-team debut in 2025, before the club sent him out on loan to Sportivo Trinidense from 1 January 2026. Cerro Porteño team-mate Roberto Piris da Motta singled him out publicly for the level he showed in his early appearances.
At Cerro Porteño he also featured for the club's under-20 side in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 in 2025. On the international stage, he was capped for Paraguay's under-20 team in a set of friendlies in 2024, but has not been called up to the senior national side.
Since joining Sportivo Trinidense, Marcelino has featured regularly, making seven league appearances so far in 2026, two of them from the start. He has also appeared once in the Copa Sudamericana this season.
He has avoided any suspensions.
