About the player
Luis Cangá was born in Guayaquil. He joined the LDU Quito academy at 14 and broke into the first team in 2014, staying with the club through 2017.
In 2018, Cangá moved to Delfín, where he played for four seasons. In 2022, he left Ecuador for Brazil, signing with CR Vasco da Gama and featuring in the Campeonato Carioca, the state championship played in Rio de Janeiro. The spell was brief. He returned home the same year to join Aucas, where he played through to the end of 2024.
He returned to Ecuadorian football in 2025, joining Universidad Católica. Financial details of the move, as with his earlier transfers, have not been made public.
