About the player
On 17 July 2025, the club signed Laurel Ansbrow to a three-year deal running to the end of 2027, with a club option for 2028. The transfer fee was not disclosed; the move followed the expiry of her contract with Fort Lauderdale United FC. She made her NWSL debut in March 2026.
Ansbrow came through the North Carolina Courage academy, where she captained the side and was named to the ECNL conference selection twice. From 2021 to 2024 she played for Wake Forest in the NCAA, and alongside her studies she turned out for North Carolina Courage U23 in the USL W League across 2022 and 2023, making 19 appearances.
Her first professional contract came in January 2025, with Fort Lauderdale United FC in the USL Super League — a single season in Florida before the move north. She has represented the United States at youth level through the federation's regional training centres; there is no record of a senior call-up.
Ansbrow was born on 10 April 2003 in Cary, North Carolina. Public sources list no individual awards or team honours from her professional career so far.
