Leandro Suhr Avondet

Leandro Suhr Avondet came through the youth ranks at Atlético Maracaná in Tarariras before making the step up to senior football at Plaza Colonia in 2016. He stayed for seven seasons, and the numbers tell their own story: 155 appearances in the Uruguayan Primera División, 15 goals and 22 assists from midfield. In 2018 he was part of the side that won promotion back to the top flight, and in 2021 he collected a league title with the club. His best individual mark came in the Clausura 2020, when he finished as the tournament's top assist provider.

Suhr moved to Boston River in January 2023, adding continental experience to his career with appearances in the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana. In 2025 he went out on loan to Argentina's Sarmiento de Junín, where he played 23 matches and scored once, before returning to Boston River.

Across his career he has racked up 250 appearances, 19 goals and 28 assists, numbers built almost entirely from midfield rather than in front of goal — a reflection of a player who has made his name creating chances more often than finishing them.
