The clock had passed 94 minutes at the Rio Ave ground on 30 November 2024 when Marios Vrousai scored the goal that beat Moreirense 3-2.
Vrousai joined Nafpaktiakos Asteras in 2009 and stayed until 2015, when Olympiacos took him into their academy. He moved up to the senior squad in 2018 and remained on the club's books until 2024, collecting Super League titles in 2020/21 and 2021/22.
His clearest run of football in that period came away from Piraeus. On loan at Willem II in 2019/20, he played 37 league matches and scored six. A 2023 loan to Olympiacos B followed.
