About the player
Puig came up through Argentina's lower divisions. Before joining Barracas Central in April 2021, he played for Deportivo Merlo in Primera C, Argentina's third tier, and for Juventud Unida de San Miguel. The move to Barracas came without a disclosed transfer fee. That same year, the club won the Primera Nacional and earned promotion to the top flight, though Puig featured in only one match of that promotion campaign.
His first-team debut in Argentina's Liga Profesional came on 17 July 2021, in a 1-0 win over Villa Dálmine.
Injuries have interrupted his run of matches more than once. A tendon problem kept him out from February to August 2024, and a calf injury sidelined him again for most of September 2025.
