Mihai Toma

Mihai Toma joined FCSB's academy in the summer of 2020 and needed three years to work his way to the first team, stepping up from the club's under-18 side in August 2023. He made his senior debut that same season and has since become a regular fixture, appearing 58 times across all competitions for the club.

His name entered the record books on 11 December 2025, when he scored FCSB's goal in a 4-3 win over Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League group stage, in the sixth round of matches. It remains his only goal for the first team, alongside three assists. Toma has won the Romanian league title twice with FCSB, in 2023/24 and 2024/25, and lifted the Romanian Super Cup in both 2024 and 2025.

Before FCSB, Toma came through Kinder Târgoviște and the Dănuț Coman football school in his home city of Târgoviște. Under a cooperation protocol between FCSB and Liga II side Concordia Chiajna, arranged through the Romanian Football Federation, Toma is registered to play for both clubs during the 2026/27 season, though no appearances for Concordia had been recorded at the time of writing.

Toma has been a consistent presence in Romania's youth set-ups, representing the under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 sides, scoring regularly along the way, including eight goals in 16 appearances at under-16 level. He has not yet been called up to the senior national team. FCSB head coach Mihai Stoica has described him as one of the best Romanian players under the age of 21 and as the captain of his generation.
