Nilson David Castrillón Burbano

Nilson Castrillón broke through at Deportivo Cali, where his career began in 2014, and needed a loan spell at La Equidad the following year to get regular football before returning to the Colombian club. A second loan, to Cortuluá, followed in 2017 before he settled back at Deportivo Cali.

The clearest mark on his career so far came at Deportes Tolima, where he moved in 2018 and won the Colombian league title that same year. The 2018 Liga BetPlay crown remains the one honour attached firmly to his name. He stayed at Tolima until 2021, when he joined Atlético Junior as a free agent, giving him experience at some of the country's most established clubs.

Castrillón moved on again in 2023, joining América de Cali on a free transfer, where he remained until 2025. That year took him abroad for the first time, first to Amazonas and then to Grêmio Novorizontino in Brazil, a switch that placed him in Brazilian football's second tier after a career built entirely in Colombia.

At youth level, Castrillón represented Colombia's under-20 side, though he has not featured for the senior national team. Across a career spent almost entirely at right-back, he has moved through six senior clubs plus two loan spells, a path that took him from a title-winning campaign at Tolima to a first taste of South American football's export route to Brazil.
