Nicolás Hernán Siri Cagno

Nicolás Siri began at Danubio, where he came through the youth academy and scored four goals in twenty appearances before Montevideo City Torque paid to bring him across in August 2021. Danubio kept 30% of any future sale, a detail from the deal that hints at how highly the club rated him even as a teenager. He signed with Torque on a contract running to 2027.

Uruguay picked him early for its youth sides. At under-15 level he scored freely, seventeen goals in twenty-six matches, and he later travelled with the under-20 squad to the 2023 World Cup, where Uruguay won the tournament outright. Siri did not get on the scoresheet himself in that campaign, but he was part of the squad that lifted the trophy.

His path since has moved through loan spells rather than settled first-team football. In 2025 he went out to Lommel SK in Belgium, and later that year Salford City confirmed his arrival on a free loan, a move reported by BBC Sport. The switch gave him a first taste of English football away from Torque and the South American game he had grown up in.

That stint did not become permanent. In July 2026, Torque sold him on to Boston River on a two-year deal, closing the Salford chapter and pointing his career back toward Uruguayan football, this time with a club he had never represented before.
