Nicolás Demartini

Nicolás Demartini came through the Temperley academy and made his first-team debut there in 2018, spending the bulk of his early career at the club before loan spells took him elsewhere. A loan to Chile's Antofagasta in 2021 produced two goals in around 27 appearances, and a further loan to Tigre in 2022 saw him shift to right-back to cover injuries.

Interest from bigger clubs followed without ever turning into a move. Independiente proposed a loan with an option to buy half his rights, and Belgian clubs and Philadelphia Union were also reported to be watching him, but none of it materialised.

Demartini's clearest achievement on the pitch came with Argentina's under-23 side, which won gold at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima. He played in the final, a 4-1 win over Honduras. He has not been called up to the senior national team.

He joined Barracas Central on loan in January 2024, initially for two seasons with a purchase option, and the move became permanent following the 2024/25 season. Since then he has established himself as a regular in the club's defence.
