About the player

Noah Kruth made his way to FC Magdeburg through the club's own academy, having arrived there in 2018 after coming through the youth ranks at SC Blau-Weiß Papenburg and SV Meppen. He signed his first professional contract in January 2022, and within a few months he was handed his debut, appearing in the 3. Liga against VfL Osnabrück in May of that year. That season ended with the title and promotion to the 2. Bundesliga, along with the Saxony-Anhalt Cup — both won as part of the Magdeburg squad.

His step up to senior football has been gradual. Kruth made his 2. Bundesliga debut against Arminia Bielefeld in May 2023, but first-team opportunities have remained scarce, with the bulk of his football coming for Magdeburg's reserve side, where he has made 51 appearances against two for the senior team.

The club nonetheless backed him with an extension in June 2024, tying him to Magdeburg until the summer of 2026. Kruth has also had a taste of international football at U19 level with Germany, though he has yet to add senior caps to his record.

At 186cm and right-footed, Kruth fits the modern profile clubs look for between the posts.
