Oleksandr Romanchuk

Oleksandr Romanchuk arrived at Universitatea Craiova in July 2025 for a reported €750,000 from Kryvbas, and by the end of his first season had a Romanian double to show for it: the club won the Liga I title and the Cupa României in 2025/26, and Romanchuk was named to the league's Team of the Season.

He came through the academy at Prykarpattia in his native Kolomyia before signing his first professional contract with Lviv, making his debut in Ukraine's second tier in 2016. A move to Dynamo Kyiv followed in 2018, but he spent most of the next two seasons with the reserve side, Dynamo-2, rather than the first team. He returned to Lviv in 2020, kept knocking on the door of the starting line-up, and made his Ukrainian Premier League debut that September.

At Craiova he has become a regular in the back line, making 56 appearances across all competitions - 35 in the league, four in the Romanian Cup and 16 in Europe - and scoring six goals.

Romanchuk has also represented Ukraine at under-21 level, winning three caps in 2019, and has one senior international appearance to his name.
