About the player
The Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2022 put Raí in front of a wider audience: a goal and three assists for the Botafogo under-20 side. He was handed a debut in the Campeonato Carioca on 30 January 2022, and on 2 February he scored his first professional goal.
He had come up through the Botafogo academy, joining between the ages of 11 and 13. The first senior season stayed modest — nine matches in the state championship. The following year brought more: 21 appearances in all competitions, among them 14 in Serie A, four in the Carioca, one in the Copa do Brasil and two in the Copa Sudamericana, with one goal.
Then the loans began. In 2024 he played a single Copa Libertadores match for Botafogo before moving to CRB, where he made seven appearances in Serie B. In 2025 he went to Boavista and played once, in the Copa do Brasil. The move that followed gave him something closer to a regular role: 27 matches for Volta Redonda in Serie B, and a goal.
His Botafogo contract was terminated, and on 1 January 2026 he joined Juventude as a free agent. The 2026 season has brought him 23 Serie B appearances with two goals and three assists, plus five matches in the Copa do Brasil. He is left-footed, and was born in Duque de Caxias, in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
