Sebastian Jarl

Jarl grew up playing for his hometown club Kjelsås in Oslo, working through the youth ranks before making his senior debut there in 2017. A free transfer to Sarpsborg 08 followed in January 2019, though his first season at the club was interrupted by a loan spell at KFUM-Kameratene Oslo, where he was part of the squad that reached the Eliteserien play-offs without securing promotion.

The move that shaped his career most came in 2022, when he joined Kristiansund on a free transfer. Over two seasons there he made 57 appearances and scored once, and in 2023 he helped the club finish fourth in the OBOS-ligaen before winning promotion to the Eliteserien through the play-offs — a run that ended with Kristiansund beating Vålerenga in the final. A year later, in July 2024, he signed for that same Vålerenga side, in a deal reported to be worth between €300,000 and €400,000. He has since made 39 league appearances for the club, playing as a centre-back and wearing the number 55 shirt.

At youth international level, Jarl has represented Norway across several age groups, from a single U17 cap in 2017 through to U18, U19 and U20 football, without yet featuring for the senior side.
