S. Smith

Sammy Smith signed her first professional contract in March 2024 with FHL, a second-division club in Iceland. She helped FHL win the 1. deild kvenna that year and earn promotion to the top flight.

Before that came four seasons at Boston College. She was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2019 and later captained the side. In 2023 she moved to Texas A&M.

The Iceland spell escalated quickly. In the summer of 2024 Smith joined Breiðablik on loan for the remainder of the season, and in 2025 she returned permanently. That year brought the Besta deild kvenna title, the Icelandic Women's Football Cup and the Icelandic Women's Football League Cup.

On 29 December 2025 she signed a two-year deal with Boston Legacy FC as a free agent, joining the squad in January 2026. No fee was involved, and none was disclosed. She wears number 8 and plays as a forward, most often from the left — her shooting numbers there are split almost evenly between her left foot and her right.

With United States youth teams, Smith played at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in 2022 and captained the U-19 side in 2024. In June 2025 she was called into the U-20 squad.
