Tomás Uriel Porra

Tomás Uriel Porra came up through the town's municipal school and two local clubs, Jorge Newbery of Carmen de Patagones and Social y Deportivo Las Grutas, before San Lorenzo took him into its youth system at the age of 12.

His first-team debut came in the Argentine league cup against Defensa y Justicia, a match San Lorenzo lost 2-0. He went on to make five appearances across competitions, including the Copa Libertadores, without scoring.

When his contract expired at the end of 2024, Porra left as a free agent and signed for Barracas Central. The move reunited him with two familiar faces: Rubén Insúa, the coach who had given him his debut at San Lorenzo, and former teammate Facundo Bruera. He settled into Barracas Central's midfield, playing 15 matches in the 2025/2026 season with one assist. His first goal for the club followed the next season, in a 1-0 win over Aldosivi in which he was named man of the match.

Porra's only senior international experience came at youth level, with Argentina's under-15s at the 2019 South American Championship, where the squad reached the semi-finals. Away from the pitch, the municipality of San Antonio Oeste named him a sporting ambassador in 2020, and a provincial lawmaker later proposed recognising his career as a matter of public interest, citing him as an example for young players from Río Negro.
