About the player
Vladimir Radočaj's career has run almost entirely along the roads of Serbian football, with one detour abroad. In February 2019 he left Bežanija for the Lithuanian club Palanga — a six-month spell that ended in August of that year, when he came back to Serbia to sign for Dinamo Vranje.
The move that has defined him came on 29 July 2021, when he joined IMT Novi Beograd as a free agent. He had spent the previous half-season at Kabel Novi Sad, arriving there in January 2021 and leaving in July. His contract at IMT runs until the end of 2027, which makes the club by far the longest stay of his career.
He came into the professional game through the youth system at Zemun, then signed for Bežanija in January 2018 and stayed a little over a year. A midfielder who works off his right foot, he has moved through the divisions without a title to show for it: no SuperLiga, no Serbian Cup, and no individual honours. Nor has he been called up by Serbia at senior, under-21 or youth level.
Radočaj was born in Sombor, in the north of the country. What the record shows is a player who changed clubs five times in three and a half years before finding somewhere to settle.
