About the player
Weimar Vivás Palacios grew up in Vigía del Fuerte, on the Colombian side of the Chocó region, before making his way into professional football as a left-footed central defender. His path to the game has not been made public in detail, but by 2025 he was already on Colombia's radar at youth level, earning a call-up to the national under-20 side for that year's FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
The same year brought his move to Brazil, joining RB Bragantino, where he wears the number 54 shirt. He has split his early appearances between the club's under-20 side and the first team. For the under-20s, he has featured five times in the Brasileirão Sub-20, scoring twice and setting up another goal — modest numbers, but enough to show a defender capable of contributing at the other end of the pitch as well.
His first-team involvement so far has been limited to brief exposure: one appearance in the Campeonato Paulista and one in the Copa Sul-Americana, both signs that Bragantino's coaching staff have begun testing him at senior level without yet committing to a regular role. At 19, with his market value still modest, Vivás Palacios remains a work in progress rather than an established name, but the U-20 call-up and the early taste of continental competition mark him as a player the club is monitoring closely as he adapts to Brazilian football.
