Gabriel Girotto

Girotto arrived at RB Bragantino in 2025 with a résumé built almost entirely at São Paulo's biggest clubs, and little of it as a headline name. He broke through at Botafogo, where four seasons and 123 appearances included the 2013 Campeonato Carioca title and a personal award as the competition's best holding midfielder. That defensive-minded profile followed him through Palmeiras, where a loan spell brought a Copa do Brasil and a Brazilian championship medal in 2016, and it was during that stretch, in 2015, that he was named the Campeonato Paulista's best holding midfielder.

The longest chapter of his career came at Corinthians, where he spent five seasons and made 238 appearances, more than at any other club. He won three consecutive São Paulo state titles there between 2017 and 2019 and lifted the Brazilian championship in 2017, a year that also brought him fifth place in the Bola de Prata voting. A call-up to the Brazil national team followed in 2013, though he never won a cap.

After Corinthians, he moved to Internacional, where he stayed three seasons and added a loan spell at Athletico Paranaense in 2024, scoring once in 30 appearances there. Across a career built more on positional discipline than goals, he found the net only occasionally — twice at Botafogo, three times at Palmeiras, eight times at Corinthians — numbers that reflect a player asked to sit rather than to attack. He has continued that role at RB Bragantino, wearing the number 6 shirt since 2025.
