Changlimithang Stadium is where the youth side plays its home fixtures.
The team itself has no separate founding date — it sits under the Bhutan Football Federation, set up in 1983, and only took shape as a competitive side much later, making its first appearance at the SAFF U-19 Championship in 2015. Semi-final finishes in the 2023, 2024 and 2026 editions of the regional age-group tournament mark the furthest the Dragon Boys, as they are known, have gone.
The BFF Academy in Thimphu, opened in 2022, now feeds this level, giving the federation a proper pipeline. Chencho Gyeltshen passed through a youth setup before becoming the senior team's all-time leading scorer, and is the clearest example of what the age-group side is meant to produce.
