When Karma Dema took charge of Tsirang FC for the 2024 season, she became the first woman to lead a side in Bhutan's top division. She had come up through assistant work at Dagana and through coaching women's teams, and the job she walked into was a debut season for the club as much as for herself.
Tsirang had earned the place the hard way, finishing third in the 2024 qualifying competition for the Bhutan Premier League — enough to go up.
Damphu, the administrative centre of Tsirang district, is where the team is based. Home matches are played on the Tsirang Artificial Turf, laid in 2016 with FIFA backing and holding around 2,000.
The 2024/25 season ended with Tsirang seventh in the table. Red and white, no trophies, no official website — news about the club reaches supporters through the Bhutan Football Federation and the national broadcaster.
