Blue Eagles

The ground sits inside Area 30 in Lilongwe, on the grounds of the National Police Headquarters, and holds 5,000. That address explains the club: the Malawi Police Service set the team up in 1988 as a way of working with the communities it policed.

The first trophy came in 1995, a 2-0 win over Bata Bullets in the Chibuku Cup, and promotion to the Super League followed. Eighth place in that debut season was as good as it got for a while; by 1998-99 they finished 13th and went down.

What the club has been good at since is knockout football. Between 2011 and 2019 they collected four cups, and the 2019 FISD Challenge Cup win came with a place in the 2020-21 CAF Confederation Cup.

Then 2022, the best league season in the club's history: runners-up in the TNM Super League, ten points adrift of Nyasa Big Bullets. A season later the club was relegated on head-to-head record after finishing level on points with Moyale Barracks. The route back ran through the cup again — Big Bullets beaten on penalties in the 2024 FDH Bank Cup final, promotion secured for 2025.

Kamuzu Barracks and Silver Strikers are the fixtures that matter. All three are Lilongwe sides, so the meetings are billed simply as the Lilongwe derby.
